今天，湖南省第五届农业机械、矿山机械、电子陶瓷产品博览会隆重开幕了。在此，我谨代表中共娄底市委、市人大、市政府、市政协、娄底军分区和438万娄底人民，向莅临大会的各位领导、各位嘉宾和社会各界朋友，表示诚挚的欢迎；向大家长期以来对娄底的关心和支持，表示衷心的感谢！
Today，the 5th Hunan Expo on Agricultural Machinery, Mining Machinery and Electronic Ceramics has been grandly opened. Here, on behalf of Loudi Municipal Party Committee, Loudi Municipal People’s Congress, Loudi Municipal Government, Loudi Municipal Political Consultative Conference and 4.38 million Loudi people, I would like to express warm welcome and sincere gratitude to honorable leaders, distinguished guests, and friends concerning and supporting the development of Loudi.
娄底是湖南最年轻的地级市。这里人杰地灵，是蚩尤故里和湖湘文化主要发源地之一，孕育了曾国藩、陈天华、蔡和森、蔡畅、罗盛教、梁稳根等一大批杰出人物；
Loudi is the youngest prefecture-level city in Hunan Province. It is the native place of “Chi You”, who is one of Chinese nation’s primogenitors, and Loudi is also one of the headstreams of Huxiang Culture. The birth of heroes and great men brings glory to this place. Many famous persons grew up in Loudi, such as Zeng Guofan (a minister of state in Qing Dynasty), Chen Tianhua (a pioneer of the Revolution of 1911), Cai Hesen (an early leader of CPC), Cai Chang (former vice-chairperson of International Women’s Federation ), Luo Shengjiao (an international communist fighter), and Liang Wengen (a business giant).
这里风景秀美，梅山龙宫、曾国藩故里、紫鹊界梯田、湄江等4A级旅游景区和大熊山、龙山国家级森林公园等让人流连忘返；这里产业兴旺，是我国重要能源原材料产业基地，素有“世界锑都”、“江南煤海”、“现代钢城”、“火电明珠”、“建材之乡”等美誉；
Beautiful sceneries and human landscapes here include National AAAA scenic spots such as “Meishan Dragon Palace”, Former Residence of Zeng Guofan, Ziquejie Terraced Field, Meijiang River, completed with two national forest parks of Great Bear Mountain and Dragon Mountain. With prosperous industries, Loudi is an industrial base of raw materials for important energy sources. Therefore, it has good reputation as “World Antimony Town”, “Coal Sea of South China”, “Modern Steel Town”, “Pearl of Thermal Power” and “Town of Building Materials”.
这里交通便捷，建成和在建七条高速公路、一条高速铁路交织成网；这里环境宜人，相继被评为全国绿化模范城市、中国优秀旅游城市和国家园林城市，国家卫生城市也已通过国家评估；
Loudi is very continent in transportation, as it is connected to seven expressways, three railways and one high-speed railway. Pleasant environment here is evidenced by awards such as “National Model Green City”, “National Favorable Tourist City”, “National Garden City” and “National Sanitary City”.
沐浴科学发展的东风，近年来，我市深入推进工业倍增、交通建设、服务业发展、城区大班额化解、城乡环境整建、绿化娄底等六个“四年行动计划”，全面实施融城战略、娄商返娄战略，全市经济社会全面健康发展，尤其是以农业机械、矿山机械、电子陶瓷为代表的特色产业逆势上扬；
Under the guidance of scientific outlook on development，we are carrying out six “four-year action plans”, namely, multiplying industry output, improving traffic construction, developing service industry, solving the problem of“big-class” in primary and middle schools of urban area, reformingurban and rural environment, and greening Loudi. We also implement strategies of integrating rural migrant workers to cities, inviting Loudi-born businessmen back to invest in Loudi. In recent years, the economy and society in Loudi is experiencing comprehensive and healthy development. Specialty industries such as agricultural machinery, mining machinery and electronicceramics are greatly developed.
我市双峰县荣获全国碾米机械之乡、全省特色制造产业重点县，涟源市成功打造了中南地区最大的煤矿机械生产基地，新化县的电子陶瓷产业不断壮大，汇集了电陶企业200多家，铸就了一批有影响、有市场、有潜力的特色品牌；
In areas under Loudi’sjurisdiction, Shuangfeng County has become a national production base of rice-milling machinery and a key county for special manufacturing industries; Lianyuan Town is the largest production base of mining machinery in mid-south China; Xinhua County has over 200 electronic ceramic enterprises, and a series of influential, market-potential and promising brands are developed.
好台唱好戏。本届湘博会以“培育品牌、提升品质，加速特色机械产业发展”为主题，更加突出产业、更加突出企业、更加突出市场；
Good environment is conducive to development. The theme of the 5th Hunan Expo is to build brand and quality, and to accelerate the development of characteristicmechanical industries. It gives greater prominence to industries,enterprises and market.
娄底作为东道主，将秉承诚信友好、互惠共赢的宗旨，创造一流环境，提供一流服务，为各方朋友交流合作搭建广阔平台；
As the host city, we will stick to the principle of good faith and mutual benefit, and create first-rate environment and provide best service for friends to communicate and cooperate.
